RAF C-17 ZZ178 performed a very impressive run and break at Prestwick in great sunlight on Saturday 21st January 2017 and then recovered to land runway 012.
It then took 3 hours to load some stuff before leaving under full throttle for a rapid climb to 6000 feet, again using runway 12.
This video shows the arrival, timelapse of the loading and the departure.
If you listen to the ATC comms, you'll hear it was coming back to get the rest of the stuff, along with an RAF A400M Atlas, due just after 11am Sunday 22nd January.

The "stuff" is the NATO Submarine Rescue System (NSRS) from Faslane going to Norway on exercise, the sub itself should be heading out at some point.
