Morayvia is now closed for the Winter Months. We intend to put on a couple of Winter events around Christmas so please visit our Website for more details, and if you are looking for an aviation related prezzie then we are opening a Pop Up Shop in the St Giles Centre, again look at the Website for more details.

Just to ease any concerns if you pass by, both the Canberra and Jet Provost Cockpits have now been moved inside to enable us to carry out some required maintenance. The Canberra is planned to attend the "Buckie Kracker" event on November 26th and then go back inside. The JP will remain inside and become an internal exhibit for 2017.

Could anyone inform me what the latest is with the complete Nimrod? Will it eventually be on display?

The situation with Nimrod MR.2 XV244 "Duke of Edinburgh" remains the same, it has regular maintenance carried out by Morayvia Volunteers, but access to it is not allowed by the general public under any circumstances due to MoD restrictions. We intend to remove the gorse bushes to allow better visibility from the Findhorn Road.

Cheers Bluetail, shame that the spoilsports at the MoD are still not allowing one of Morayvia's top attractions to be viewed at close quarters. Typical I suppose, let's hope some day it will be able to be seen a little closer but don't hold your breath.

Great to see Morayvia open again. Spent the whole of Saturday there, the Antonov An2 looks amazing in the spring sunshine and all the other exhibits are sparkling as well. Inside there is more to see and do than last year with the second hall now open and the recently arrived Hunter cockpit on display with the opportunity to climb aboard.
The weather is looking even better today, I might be tempted to visit again.

Just to add, Jaguar GR.3 XZ113 has now arrived and can be viewed, we still have to fetch its wing which should be done in the next couple of weeks. In addition the Super Puma Simulator cockpit is also now on display in the Northern Room. Access into it is not permitted just now as its sitting on Axle Stands to allow work to progress, but if you ask I,m sure a quick look into the cockpit from outside can be allowed. Finally the Herald fuselage is now open for viewing
And many thanks for your kind comments, we volunteers really appreciate it.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer at Morayvia, give me a shout, we are particularly looking for engineers to work on our exhibits.

Cycled past Morayvia this morning, and noticed that there is now a Valiant front fuselage (flight deck & rear crew) section on display.

Is this the one from Inverness ?

Is it now a permanent fixture at Morayvia ?

The Valiant B.1 (XD875) was collected from Inverness earlier this week and will become a permanent exhibit at Morayvia. It should be open to get inside when we open at Easter. Its big isnt it
