Only just drove past it on Sunday evening and wondered what would eventually happen to it. It's a slap in the face to the hard work of the Station personnel and locals that fought for years for Kinloss to have a Gate Guard at the time the only flying base not to have one(I believe).

I also noticed that the local radar that was situated in the woods to the East of the base has also been removed, they ain't wasting any time in closing the place down.
