Two interesting NOTAM's up for tomorrow ;

1) Parachuting into the sea off the Firth of Forth , 07:00 to midnight . The NOTAM calls the area 'Berwick Deep Water'
2) Mixed type rotary wing 'without lights' apart from the last aircraft in formation again in the Firth of Forth between Lundin Links and Musselburgh . Night flying all week from 21:00 on Monday night .

Shadow ZZ417 c/s SNAKE 47 is showing as heading south back to Waddington after spending most of this evening over the Firth of Forth and out off Leuchars .
Defender ZH001 c/s AAC515 is showing out of Leuchars and approaching Ayr .

Heard that there were Apaches in the area around St Mary's loch on Monday.

A C-17 departed toward the West, was above cupar at 12:30 (11/9/18), anyone got any idea if/when it will return and possible timings. Would love to take a drive up, but it's a bit far to see nothing.

The only C-17 I can see showing and which appears to be out of Leuchars is ZZ174 c/s ASCOT 6755 which is southbound and passing Liverpool .

It was ZZ174 (RRR6755) and returning to Brize. So I suspect not.

There was a C130 planned Brize - Leuchars (ZORRO2) but it appears to have cancelled

Took a trip over on Wednesday not very busy, still it was a good day
weather wise and it was good to meet up again with some of the
lads from yesteryear, Harry Colin Jan Kenny Tam had a good
laugh and got a tan, hope to catch you all again soon.

The flying is actually both day and night throughout the exercise Scott, Zorro 2 landed back around 11.10 and I can hear rotary just now as I type.

Thanks for that. I'll maybe take a trip up tomorrow morning. That's another chinook working in the Kirkcaldy area at 2215. No visual, could only spot civvys heading to Edinburgh.
