Jets in the area

Post by LoganM123 » Mon Jun 25, 2018 5:06 pm

I saw a single Eurofighter Typhoon fly over Cupar heading west around 16:40-16:50. Was relatively low and still had its landing gear down. I saw another jet (too far away to get the type however looked more like a tornado with its wings swept, just heard the engines and saw it in the distance) flying south east from the west over the cults hills about 18:00, Wish I had the scanner with me.

Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.

Jedi 31 was in the radar pattern @ Leuchars, heading for his 2nd approach when you saw him. He overshot Leuchars @ 16.38 and 16.48 , before departing direct to RAF Coningsby. He may have been ZK319/319, not 100% sure on that one. It looks like your second jet may have been Jedi 32, in the heads up section it was noted with Coningsby approach around 18.21.

Cheers,

Mikey

Thank you, there was also a F-15 doing touch-and-gos this afternoon (around 16:00). Heard him on the scanner and saw him overhead shortly after.

Never caught it, just heard them declaring the touch and Go's.
