Interestingly there is a Dutch Naval vessel anchored off The Isle of May in Forth Estuary. Few miles South East of Anstruther. 1000 yard exclusion zone in operation. The vessel used by our guys SD Victoria is no longer anchored off St Andrews and is also now in the Firth of Forth but further up. Anchored off Mussleburgh. They are both visible on Boatwatch App.

Maybe the final exercise is due shortly.

Lots of Heli activity just now (0200hrs) possibly Apache earlier but more like Puma active,I'm in the western side of St Andrews. Choppers Heading south, south east, vicinity of Forth estuary. Certainly a shuttle service of sorts....... pick ups and drop off's. 0212... I can hear them returning...

I was up there Monday 4th September and saw 3 Chinooks landing, 2 Hercs parked up, 1 RAF C-17 ZZ178 Parked up, 3 Apaches parked up, 2 of which went out between 8:30 and 9:15pm, with the other being hangared just before I departed.

Also what looked like a Puma was down the far end of the runway.

Guy in a van said the C17 is going to be departing today - Tuesday.
