Lots of Police about

All,

Be advised that there is a significant Police presence at Leuchars with people being discouraged from taking photos of the Apaches sitting beside the road.

Well don't park them beside the road then.

Allan
5 MOD police dog handlers around the ASP where the apaches were sitting also several police Scotland cars doing the rounds. This was at the back of 1pm today.

And yes they did challenge people today.

Whats the form on going down past Earlshall Farm onto the track to the forest/beach, is it still tolerated by car or even on foot?

I think you can still access on foot. You will need to park in the housing estate and walk from there. No Police going about when i was there today, but that was at the road end.
Cheers.

I have been all over for two days, and no MOD/Police patrols anywhere off base.

I parked in the housing estate across the road (the one with the tacky neighbourhood watch scheme - so I thought my car would be safe .. LOL)

No issues from police or security taking photos of the Apaches warming up their engine but as it was dark and my AF assist was on the SAS spotted me and were staring over. I just waved.

Great wee evening out at Leuchars - ZZ178 C-17 was a nice bonus.
