Aircraft at Leuchars

Post by LoganM123 » Mon Feb 27, 2017 3:19 pm

Anyone know of any aircraft staying at Leuchars, last week there was at least 4 low passes over cupar and towards Edinburgh from Hercules on different days. and I am pretty sure i just saw a C-17 flying over toward Leuchars from Cupar. Was too slow on getting the scanner out to hear anything.

It was low level over St Andrews and Leuchars at approx 1430-1500hrs impressive handling, throwing it about like a sports car!! Looking at the Edinburgh post on this site for 24th, this maybe the USMC KC-130 that was parked up at Edinburgh from Friday 24th.....maybe the crew on a sightseeing tour of the town and Old Course!!

As just replied in the Recent Serial section, Atlas ZM400 would seem to be your aircraft according to ADSB.

Was it ZM400 that did a couple of approaches to Aberdeen airport as well? I saw it from my office in Oldmeldrum as it line up on the approach path.

Yep, Ascot410, Atlas ZM400, shooting approaches on 26 from approx 13.15 until ~14.45, then 08 until ~15.15.

Also:
~13.55 Lima 33, Tucano ZF140, touch and go.
14.25 Lossie 03, Typhoon, Low approach.
