C-130 ? inbound later this afternoon 17/1

Post by vulcanxl425 » Wed Jan 17, 2018 1:22 pm

Thought at first we were due a visit from another US Navy C-40 c/s Convoy 6401 but it would appear now to be a C-130 judging by it speed and height. Due in from Sigonella at present heading north near Nottingham. Serial not known.

Had this visual earlier abeam Northampton.

ADSB has hex of 29CBB8 which seems to be a miscode and has also been used by 165159.

Would appreciate a Mk1 eyeball confirmation of serial.

Thanks

Should be C-130T 164998/AX which went through Aldergrove over night 13th/14th using this hex code.

Hex 29CBB8 is equivalent to octal 12345670(!!) and has been used by at least 4 USN/USMC KC/C-130s that I am personally aware of, not to mention at least two E-6s.
