my take on Lossiemouth movements 17th March

don't want this to be deemed as treading on Ally McDuffs effort but have put this
together for all that moved yesterday whilst we were both there ;;-

Managed to dry out and stop shivering after a 9 hour stay in the affa drecht weather at the
local yesterday :( :( :( :'( :'(

Very sad day yesterday marking the end of Tornado flying at Lossiemouth with XV(R) Sqn
:( :( :( :'( :'(

Tornados that took part in the last operational sortie were ;-

ZD741 / F-LS
ZA452 / 022
ZA588 / 056
ZD848 / 109
ZD711 / 079

parked out on C hard were ;-

ZD714 / 081
ZG75 / 129


epic visitor list yesterday as below ;-

XX159 Hawk T1 Royal Air Force
84-0165 C-12 United States Air Force
MM40125 / 41-12 Atlantic Italian Air Force ( departed after a two night stay )
ZH840 Merlin HM2 Royal Navy ( arrived Wednesday ) didn't fly due tech issues
ZH827 Merlin HM2 Royal Navy '' as above but did carry out a couple of sorties ''
ZH846 / CU Merlin HM2 Royal Navy '' as above but did carry out a couple of sorties ''

French Alpha Jets of the Patrouille de France display team called in for fuel
and crew rest over night whilst routing towards Canada and the USA.
All serial tie ups, to radio call signs and Patrouille de France tail numbers confirmed
by camera !!!!

ZJ913 / II full II (AC) Sqn marks ' active'
ZJ811 / W ' active'
ZK317 / 317 ' active'
ZJ919 / DC ' active'
ZK369 / un-mk'd 'active'
ZK318 / FG 'active'

foot note ;- I have painful Verrucas and also

ZJ924 / II carries no Sqn marks departed, don't remember seeing this
return, to Coningsby maybe ????

Great report from a historic day could not make it up but good to see so many did even in pretty poor weather, as for your Verrucas rub some of your wifes perfume into it wont help a tall but makes your feet smell nice

The Hawk belongs to 736 Sqn at Culdrose but carries no marks so could be mistaken for an RAF one

Callsign = Navyhawk :Wow: In on a fair proportion of Fridays and usually out early Mondays.
