Tuesday PM 16th Oct

Post by TedGR4a » Tue Oct 16, 2018 8:01 pm

Hope you will excuse the newbie, but there was a lot of activity late this afternoon, with a four ship landing just before a pair landing at the same time. Never seen that done before and very impressive.

I saw 7 incoming in total and there was what I want to say was a French civil type of aircraft doing circuits.

No tail numbers or Squadrons I'm afraid. Still lots to learn.

Best,

Ted.

Thanks Ted for your report on this afternoon.Occasionally you will get Typhoons on paired approach to land. More often they will carry out standard rejoin overhead before breaking and land individually. Not sure for the French type doing circuits. Believe there was an aircraft from Cranwell this afternoon followed by the Canadian Aurora landing around 1650. Calibrator aircraft checking airfield nav-aids etc was also active at Lossie today.

Pretty sure I saw a post somewhere saying that a French Customs aircraft was at Wick earlier today, as usual can’t find the post but this could be your French civil type. They’ve got Beech 300’s and Cessna F406’s.

Pretty sure the Cranwell aircraft was a Phenom.

Hi, do you know if there's any daytime flying in Lossie this week?
