Aussies at Stornoway

Post by Thunder » Sat Apr 21, 2018 6:00 pm

Does anyone have any information on the Australian MH's up at Stornoway, are they operating from the Gaydon Hangar and adjacent ramp or from the numerous dispersals on the the other side? Thinking of heading over next week if they are accessible.

TIA

Anyone heard anything of these being out and about, both seem to have disappeared off the end of the Earth

I’ve seen pictures posted of them returning to Stornoway, they’re working with 820NAS so probably spending most of their time offshore.

Any news of when they are leaving post exercise, and does anyone know if they transited the Lakes on their way up?

Thanks

They came from Brize via Isle of Man, Prestwick then direct Stornoway.

Conflicting rumours on departure, some say Lossie but Prestwick has been mentioned more often. Posted elsewhere that they were doing R n R in Ayrshire before going home.
