Could have been 2 but I reckon I saw and heard a Chinook over West Edinburgh at around 5am This Morning - 16th September.

Re: chinnook 15 /9/16
There is currently an exercise at Longannet PS - notification was a few weeks ago in the Dunfermline Press. I've been meaning to activate my login for a while to put the heads up on here. A fair amount of gunfire and explosions since 7 this morning.
From the story -
VILLAGERS in Kincardine have been warned to expect troops at Longannet.
THE MoD will be conducting an exercise involving a small amount of helicopters and limited ground troops between September 10-28.
In Fife, activity can be expected in Longannet and Leuchars.
Out-of-hours flying has been authorised and noise disturbance may be experienced in some locations. The ground element of the exercise will deploy in conjunction with helicopter operations.
Personnel will carry weapons and blank ammunition. Tactical activity will be conducted as part of the localised ground deployment at locations where permission has been granted to do so.
