Awful :( they should've gone to museums! Or been left in a hangar, what use will scrapping them gain? Not like we have any Rods to use the parts on

As of 1500 today, the scrapping area was cleared of all debris from the first four frames.

By 1600, both PA06 and PA10 had been wheeled into the area, and the screens closed up again.
PA06 was stripped of engines flaps and tail before towing in, PA10 was reasonably complete, although the tail modifications were only part finished and the engines had been removed.

RIP the next two.

Woodford's right at least one or 2 should have been preserved at Museums!

Yawn!

How many times does it need to be said, BAE and the MOD released a paper to various museums in the UK advising them they were available if they wanted them. No-one did, so they'll be scrapped.

Here endeth the big circle we appear to be stuck in, please?!

I'm quite surprised they offered museums the opportunity to take them off their hands. I'd have thought the MoD and BAe wouldn't have wanted the MRA4s hanging around to remind people what a huge failure and waste of money it was!

Much obliged :)

We're flying out of Manchester to Hamburg next week, and vaguely hoping there will be a chance to go and see the two complete frames if they are still there

They're not going anywhere any time soon Ben, I'll let you know if that changes though.

Will be pretty dark by the time we get back and I doubt the bus will go up Old Hall Lane.
If they're still there when we go to the hangars then we can see them then
