Recently Bond Helicopters have been using Warton since the demise and re-instatement of Blackpool Airport. I don't personally post images but here is a selection that have been flying into Warton recently.

There is a twelve page chapter on Warton's UAVs covered in volume 3 "Test Flying in Lancashire" this gives a good insight on the development HERT1, MANTIS, ETC.

In connection with the 2015 Southport Air show as well as having The Red Arrows based at Warton, we also had The Royal Navy Historic Flight Swordfish based there everyday when the crew returned from the Southport Show the Pilot entertained with a mini display.

On the Swordfish's departure back to Yeovilton we were treated to a five minute low level display with pull ups tight turns, all in all a super show. Below is some interesting facts about the Swordfish.

I think its appropriate that the Vulcan will be the last aircraft I record as a visitor to Warton, unless The Concorde makes a return visit to the skies over Warton (1972)

Over recent months there has been a lot of radar and EW trials involving our based IP Typhoons with Falcon 20s from Cobham they usually come from their Teesside base. Here is a montage of Falcon 20s that have graced Warton's skies https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=cobha ... WzaZSytJgH

As promised The Blackburn B2 Bi-plane was the first aircraft to take to the skies flying very sedately it flew at least 3 times always off 07 next to fly was the Avro Anson

again off 07 the Avro Anson flew at least three times between 5.0pm & 7.0pm. As I was leaving at 7.0pm to attend the Tornado Lecture at Warton the Swordfish also Off 07.https:
