Two Typhoons where up and landed around 1pm.
More or less the same time as the Herk came in.

Something heading Wartons way, just seen fleetingly past the docks and it looked to be an F15 from a distance (unlikely I know..).. Any ID from the lads on the fence would be good as it isn't showing on ADSB

Noted in the most westerley bay of 358 today was a single Typhoon in fresh RAF markings but with a primer panel on the starboard side beneath cockpit. Can anyone provide an id.
Thanks

dont know which one but thought all new RAF production typhoons were now operating from north side (302 main assy hall/5 hangar), and not 358 hangar, southside. Possibly just out of paintshop. Obvious candidates are BS147 or BS149 neither delivered to coningsby yet but first flts on 18/4 & 11/5 this year, respectively. Cheers

Yes 41TES busy again flying ZK355 (BS116) & ZK356 (BS117).
"Rogue 21" (BS116) T/o 1521L seen on climbout looked like it was carrying Paveways on inboard wing pylons + tanks underwing + LDP on centreline. Heard in overhead 1527-1550L. Possible high level attacks on airfield target?
Downwind join 25 & landed 1636L;
"Rogue 22" (BS117) T/o 1556L seen on climbout looked like it was minus Paveways but otherwise
same fit as BS116. Think a crash vehicle was being used as a mobile target at either end of runway. Seen manoeuvring over the Fylde turning in for "attacks" on "target" at 07 threshold from approx NNW direction (1607-1631L). Then repeated attacks on target positioned 25 threshold (1640L-). Land time u/k.
ZK434 (BS150) was sat outside on the MTA (old Case White apron NW side) again but no first flt.
Also up briefly was ZE114 (CS003) probably to clear a snag? (was up briefly on Mon 30/7) "Tarnish 9" T/o 1747L & landed 1804L after initials 25. HTH

PS forgot to mention...

"Rebel 58" T/o 1038L in (most likely) BS116 unless anyone can amend otherwise.

cheers

seen on climbout 25 off Lytham @ 1420L Showing hexcode 43C7AB on ModeS sites.
On recovery usual wheels up low speed flyby (07 approach) 1517L staying low past 25 threshold then repositioning for a "dive attack" on airfield target from west (as per usual); t&g 25 @1521L & land @1524L streaming chute (as per normal practice).
Only 5 more RAF typhoon first flts to go...
cheers
