WTN (Tarnish) 29 has also flown the F-35 when on trials at Pax River (c. May 2010 onwards).

WTN 20/21 are (were) pilots based at Marham who airtest (used to airtest) Tonkas going thro the CMU (if it exists anymore!). I would imagine the amount of flying required has dropped considerably for them now. They also ferry tonkas on behalf of RAF.

by the same logic does that mean that the current Warton csign WTN (Tarnish) 69,
is the 69th pilot to fly the F-35?
;)

PS postings on this topic now decidedly "threadbare". If would be a safe bet to assume
F-35s will visit Warton ay some stage in the future especially as all rear empennages are built at Samlesbury. Perhaps a flypast over there sometime? Most likely crews have more pressing operational needs to attend to at mo imho

'AndrewBarclay' , sorry to see that you have removed your posts because I didn't know of the tie-ups between the WTN call sign's and the individual pilots nor the F-35 link too . All good gen .
I'd always taken WTN for Warton and thought that Tarnish was a Coningsby based call sign ?
