Saudi 747 Cargo.

Post by Tarnish9 » Fri Feb 02, 2018 7:52 pm

Hello nice people.

Just wanted to ask if anybody knows when the 747 is due to return to Warton. It has been a while now and she must be due to return soon. I travel over from Southport and would love to see her arrive when I am down Naze Lane.

TIA :thumb:

As promised Saudi 747 due in 4:00pm tomorrow. However due to weather conditions may be late. Seems current in Nairobi and needs to get here via Stansted so keep an eye on its progress.

Even if it is headed for Warton (via STN) got a way to go yet..over Sudan FL320!
Looks like an evening arrival/dep tomorrow??

Cheers

PS Perhaps a more apt B74 for this work would be ER-BAE (B747-41R Terra Avia) might even be cheaper!
PPS just realised its not a freighter so that would be difficult! Ex G-VROC virgin :'(

Afternoon friends.

Twas a good call by Ray yesterday :thumb:

We live in hope, anyway it is bitterly cold to be stood outside today. I have been tracking ACP2621 out of Nairobi but have lost her again over the Sudan. The time shown now is 02:11 EAT so that would be 23.11 GMT and that is into Stansted? I think. So I am just going to keep my fingers crossed and hopefully The Queen might leave tomorrow especially if the pilot is tired of flying later today :thumb:

Thank you for the updates :)

I would say either an arrival at Warton around 20:00/20:30 tonight OR it will fly into Stansted tonight and like Martin said to fly into Warton early AM tomorrow...

I understand the airfield "goes black" (inoperative) when the 747 is on the ground, so an arrival on Thursday after the morning shuttles have left seems more likely. Might be a bit tricky bringing in such a large bird into a small strip like Warton - the runway is too narrow for it to manoeuvre it self on the ground- in the dark

22:30 - Big bird is taxiing now at Stansted for takeoff to Warton...
Should be arriving at Warton around 23:10,
22:48 currently tracking over Leicester at 18k ft

Surely it won't depart till early AM tomorrow, let's hope?!
