For the info of Tarnish 9 as you know Tim there were a number of ground aborts involving the Typhoons
and the Tornado, what normally happens these particularly aircraft will be worked on by engineers and
they may well be ready for flight tests on Monday or Tuesday.

It was nice to meet you Tim and your performing collie, I will be keeping a good lookout for yellow camera van. Frank

Aye up John,

I have met some cracking knowledgeable people down Naze since day one of visiting. Yesterday I met another great man, some of the stories you shared had me laughing. Love the banter and at the same time getting buzzed up when the jets come out to play. Was a good day with variety. The Tornado would have been the icing on the cake for me as you all know who was down there especially when I'm dancing on my van roof to the sounds of the Tornado firing up. Thought wow I'm lucky today then 10 minute later the engines shut down due to technical problem. To me it was still a fantastic day from 08.30 and the weather was kind. I am half way through the Booklet you gave me Sir and enjoying the read.

Top man, top people make a top day :)

Think I will follow the latter and head down Monday see if I can bag my first cammo Tornado (y)

In terms of "maiden flights" (first flts/PFAT1s) we are on lean times at Warton into the next couple of years or so, until the Qatari order starts to roll out of 302 main assy hall (24 typhoons) and 3+4 Hangars if more hawks also involved (6 ac?).

Basically 10 more typhoon first flts in the near future:

The last Omani typhoon ZR409 (RAFO218/NS009) which quite a few of us are all like coiled springs waiting to photograph and;
the "dregs" of the RAF tranche 3 order (Block 25 standard)
ZK431 (BS147) - ZK439 (BS155) inclusive.

Happy Days!

Cheers

Hello Tombs,

Thank you for the update, so the future is looking a bit brighter for Warton. Get a little tired of bad news saying this and that is going to happen. We should enjoy what we get see at the present time. I have set up alerts now on flightaware for the 747 cargo, and the last few days she has been busy. Sadly dropping off or picking up cargo elsewhere around the globe. Our day will come soon when the Queen of the Skies drops into Warton :thumb:

NS9 is in the "hush house" according to a trusted and accurate source.
