Tarnish pilots

Hi all

Just wondering are the test pilots at Warton multi role qualified or does each pilot just fly 1 type ?

As qualified Test Pilots they can fly anything - they are the Gods of the Air. If they flap their arms fast enough they can even take off just by themselves.

Tarnish 9 only one current on Tornado.
Generally there are allocated to specific projects/programmes and will do the bulk of the flying whether on development of a specific piece of kit or production acceptance testing for a particular customer. Obviously there needs to be flexibility/overlap in duties.
Tarnish 69 is the Chief Test Pilot so has his own load of duties on top of flying!
