Hawk delivery 14-June-17

Post by jetnoise » Wed Jun 14, 2017 11:11 am

Two RSAF HAwks departed early this morning
ST016 / ZB116 / 7909 and
ST020 / ZB120 / 2111

By my records this leaves just 4 left at Warton ST018,19, 21 and 22.

No, there are still well over a dozen Hawks for the RSAF still at Warton.

Sorry about the confusion on the ST016 / ZB116 serial - finger trouble : I agree it should be 7907
With regards my comment about 4 being left, I was referring to the first batch of Mk165s.
The others are from a follow-on order (also for 22 aircraft). However, my sources tell me these are to be assembled in KSA - although the first few may be put together at Warton as a dry-run then disassemble and shipped out to country. If this is all true then there may be a regular An-124 (or similar) service in / out of Warton.
