LOG 27th Spetember
LOG 27th Spetember
Hi All
Brief visit this morning and noted outside the flight test hangar on far side was ZK377 in primer and another in RAF marks that I read as ZK353...in horrible weather...may have been ZK355...any one confirm( no problem if not don't need either 353 or 355).
Also noted a Saudi herc parked up and have been informed this is 1632...which is great....two made!
Regards

Re: LOG 27th Spetember
Paul,
as you say it 'may have been ZK355'. ZK353 is reported as being delivered to Coningsby back in 2014.

It’s not what you look at that matters. It’s what you see.
Re: LOG 27th Spetember
indeed Freeman, it was in basic RAF marks, no squadron markings either...so suspect that through the lovely weather...not,! and the angle it may well have been 355...

Hi Paul,
Just to confirm your sightings.
ZK355
ZK377
1632
You were lucky with the Herc, it finally "left" yesterday, but then returned, presumably with a problem!

Re: LOG 27th Spetember
The Herc was still here this morning (Weds 28th) - if it has gone u/s, then may be the RSAF will send a 'rescue bird' to sort things out (as has been the case in the past).

Prior to the Saudi C 130 1632 returning to Warton a Tornado GR 4 tail code 027 flew a low level approach to runway 25 due to the inclement weatherTB1 wrote:Hi Paul,

it produced large vortices off the leading edges of both wings it just looked like white smoke canisters had been fitted.

viewtopic.php?f=70&t=5192 When there has been a problem with C130 in the past The Saudis have sent Spares/Engineer in
their own C130s ZH 128 or HZ 132.
However I understand that Marshalls of Cambridge are the contractors used by the Royal Saudi Air Force for repairs or spares for their aircraft, but it would be nice to see HZ 128 or one of its stable mates at Warton again.
