Brilliant, love it up Beacon Fell, can imagine IPA6 looked great from that vantage point

yeah was quite low and slow we go up there training our two gun dogs a few times a week, its made me think do they use the fell as a waypoint before recovery often? as it could be a handy spot to see the aircraft.

I am more or less certain they do, Beacon Fell is so easy to spot from the air.

If positioning for SRA or ILS to rwy
25 from the NW (Morecambe Bay area) guess it would take them over beacon fell area and then Longridge/Ribchester area before turning in over Nth side Preston.
If of course they are gliding at Chipping (not far from Beacon fell) then presumably would stay well clear!

There is another reason for flying over that area Warton's Test Pilot's and Senior Management live in that
locality, obviously I'm not going to reveal who or where.

Yes T.29 was up for just under 2 Hours yesterday in IPA6 as per my log.
Saw him on ADS-B playing around over Wales.

ZR408 flown minus uw tanks (not a ferry SD) but first flt painted as RAFO217. Obviously not one of the pair to depart to warmer climes very soon.

By my reckoning on PFAT5 (last flown 15/12/17 same pilot).

Did some circuit bashing with IPA6 after SRA to 25 and touch & go into visual. Landed 1612z. Lost count of number touch & goes! See Christian's log for further..... :)
