saudi Mk165 ST018 dep on ferry flt Tues 5/12/17

ZB118/rsaf7909 (ST018) dep 0843z as WTN08 on delivery.

Carrying out an SRA to rwy 25 first. May have done a flypast at samlesbury where wings are assembled, just after takeoff.

Appears to be doing another low app (was to be a PFL?) to 25 (0852z) and now finally departed. Adios Tarnish 9 have a good trip!!

Dir UPTON FL200 change SWK 3332 talking to Swanwick 280.35 (0901z).

Went into Yeovilton apparently as planned. Departed Yeovilton 1025z according to FR24. Now squawking 6321 at FL350. (1045z)

Final one of initial batch of 22 of course.

Heading towards Bastia after Yeovilton.
Not only is this the last of the RSAF batch to leave, it is also the last Hawk to fly (under its own power) out of Warton on delivery to a Customer ever (unless new orders are secured).

Is that Bastia in Corsica?

Re Hawks: What about the six that Qatar are expected to order this month? Fingers crossed!

ST018 in descent now for Bari and nightstop. I had noticed on FR24 it had gone in to Bastia Corsica for fuel. Previous recent hawk ferry flts have tracked over the northern tip of this island but never landed there.

When the Qatar order eventually materialises (6 ac have been mentioned) it is probably safe to assume they will fly in UK and certainly not via saudi final assembly facility!

Cheers

Today at 09.10Z it's showing at FR24 at level 370 half way in between Crete and Cyprus on a south eastern heading. Departed Bari.
Edit 09.25 descending into Cyprus/ Larnaca i guess.
Edit 09.35 Paphos it was in the end.

ZB118/RSAF 7909 (ST018) left Paphos this morning, and is now at Tabuk.
The two Omani Hawks which n/s at Tabuk last night have also left and are now with the RAFO at Masirah.
