Barton Airfield used by Military Helicopters

I understand that in the last few days a couple of Chinooks, Wildcat, and Apaches have been refuelling
at Barton, is this a one off or is it regular occurrence.

Reasonably regular to get them use the airfield as a fuel stop....not usual to have five examples and three types on one day though.

viewtopic.php?f=16&p=973078#p973078 This what I was referring to. Credits to the photographer EGVP.

A good pointer to any forthcoming military movements is the arrival of a military road tanker on the airfield. If you fancy a flight out of Barton its £165.00P Plus £15.00P Landing fee. But there is a bonus
guess where they fly too if that airfield isn't too busy with test flying.

No military tanker, it's all done by the airfield refuelling team. Very much luck of the draw I'm afraid!
