Any idea on the terrain around there , footpaths etc re photos etc ?

Any assistance warmly welcome.

It's been a while since my one and only visit, but at the time there was a footpath come cycleway that ran inbetween the fence and the railway line heading north from Hightown rail station. I think the path started fairly close to the camp gatehouse. You could read most things off but photos were only of any quality as they were coming in to land over the path.

Alternatively, Burbo Bank is an option if you have a decent camera go along the cycle path by the old Coast Guard station, all the way to the end to by the mouth of the River Alt, you will then see the helo's heading to/from

Another exercise to be based at Altcar Camp starts on 30th November 2015 through to 4th December, 2015, sounds like another Lobster Pot Exercise. 7 mixed Rotary aircraft flying out of Altcar, operating in the Morecambe Bay area. Schedule 30.11.15 through to 3rd December, 2015 10.00am to 23.59 and the 4th, December 10.00am
to noon.

Noted on the Ground at 14:00 today were:
ZZ518 Wildcat,
ZA166 Sea King,
XZ732 Lynx,
ZH851 Merlin,
ZJ126 Merlin,
ZA299 Sea King,
ZJ118 Merlin.

All had rotors turning within 15 Minutes or so but due to the weather I retreated to the car so I can only presume that all lifted.
Thanks to those that gave the heads up for the exercise, and is anyone aware if it's likely that the same ones will be there for the duration,
or could there be some swap overs?

CDO528 zJ124 [43C073] was most likely in the area on thurs 3/12/15 as noted on local mode sites and active over fylde area that day along with CDO526 zJ118 [43C06D]
