Apparently quite noisy at Church Fenton yesterday - a solitary red Hawk doing some circuit work (?) and (I quote) "...a pointy grey jet" which I'm taking to be either a Typhoon or a Tornado. Also reports of a large military helicopter - could this have been a Merlin? I have been told by a reliable source that 28 Squadron were deploying to Linton with their Merlin's although last I heard it had been postponed due to weather.

I must try to work at home more often!!
