Hi All,
As a non-technical newbie, and certainly without the insider knowlege of, say, smiler16, just thought I'd chip in with information from our window cleaner (who normally knows everything happening in the world, ever) :) .

He 'heard' that the crew had been unable to lower the undercarriage and were making low passes to enable those on the ground to get a look, and on the last (which may possibly have also been the first) of these the engine failed, hence the wheels-up landing.

Hope this doesn't sound too simplistic.

best,
graham

Doesn't sound simplistic at all Graham. I'm pretty sure this wasn't the case however.

Dishforth is NOTAM'ed as being closed but Topcliffe is NOTAM'ed for extra flying hours these next two weeks as is Linton , 'night flying' until 21:00 except for an early finish on Fridays !
