Re: Reds practice display
Hey Rich
There hasn't been one yet and I have not heard from anyone if there will be one. Best thing to do which I always do, is to keep an eye out for a NOTAM been posted as these give dates and times if a display is taking place.

Thanks Dan, will do now I know I haven't already missed it. I know they don't go every year but had noticed it's been just over a year since they last did.
Many thanks,
Rich.

Comfortably Numb
Re: Reds practice display
Thanks for the update, this is much later than previous years isn't it? Any reason for that? I was already thinking of taking the 25th off work as falls after my birthday so that's just confirmed that plan.
Maybe see some of you up there.

Re: Reds practice display
Reds flew first 9 ship around lunchtime yesterday (29-3-17).

It was "flat", but the weather would have prevented anything else.
I got a Facebook message with a link and it was streamed live.
Edit: Live coverage was on "Periscope". I wondered who did it as they appeared to be on the airfield.
Red 10 gives a lot of coverage on his twitter page:

Likely he had the camera!
Edit 2: It was Mike Ling, Red 10. Official(ish) then!

Re: Reds practice display
The last 2 Years it has happened in the first week of March. I would imagine that it is late this year as winter training started late due to the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions Tour.rclarke80 wrote:Thanks for the update, this is much later than previous years isn't it? Any reason for that?
Re: Reds practice display
Looks like we aren't getting a display, just part of a flypast! .

Re: Reds practice display
Confirmed as such cos the notam is still active? Not saying there won't be a few flypasts in the morning but not much mention of the afternoon, although the weather looks a bit iffy too for then.
