Noted at RAF Leeming at 1930 this evening: -
100 Sqn Hawks
Codes CA / CD / CF / CH / CJ / CM / CN / CO
XX255 / 255
XX318 / 318
3 x RAF Chinooks, no codes noted on any of the Chinooks, can anybody supply registrations? I suspect at least one change since those noted last Saturday (ZA670 / 705 / 720)
ZJ125 / J Royal Navy Merlin
All helicopters parked in front of the ex 25Sqn shelters
French AF. Alpha Jets
E22
E81
E123
E135
All parked on the main ramp in front of the old tower
Plenty of activity around the helicopters, so maybe some night flying planned.
Viewing area still open when I departed at 1945 and for D.E.T. nice and clean and tidy.
Regards
Did you know that registration to Fighter Control is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....

Comfortably Numb
Re: LOG : RAF LEEMING 15/06/2017
The Merlin must have departed earlyish this morning as it was over Melksham (Wiltshire) at 09.40 heading back to Yeovilton. Callsign showing on PP was "J446".
Cheers, Bob

Fantastic!
I stopped at Leeming yesterday lunchtime (1230ish) without Binos/scope. Tried to use my 100-400 to get a log of what was out on the pan, but the haze made it impossible to successfully ID anything.
The quantities of Hawks and Alphajets tie up nicely so believe they are the same aircraft.
As I was arriving, two Chinooks and a Merlin departed together, leaving one Chinook on the ground.
In addition to those logged above, Tornado GR.4 coded 022 was out on the pan. I've been told it was its final flight and an arrival for RTP
