Typhoons Arrive At Last

10 Typhoons have at last arrived at RAF Leeming. Not seen them personally but heard them and been told by a mate at the viewing area.

Hi,

Has anyone been over to see the Typhoons? I think this is a great opportunity for those of us who normally have to travel 2/3/4 hours to Lincolnshire/Norfolk/Suffolk for jet action to see them in Yorks/North East! Hope to get over there soon. I am assuming they will be doing regular exercises as they would have been at RAF Con.

Certainly today,I might post the least worst shots if they are in focus.This afternoon's stars were 2 performance take offs in quick succession,which certainly dropped an old friend of mine's jaw ,who'd never seen the party piece before!

The Typhoons depart back to Coningsby tomorrow , Thursday . First aircraft are due off at 10:00 and the rest off at 14:00 .

Looks like I will miss them. Had Friday free, but with the news they are leaving today seems like I missed this opportunity this week.
