Using Spadeadam and if any clues from Leeming about departures or regular departure times I may try to catch them enroute between Derwent reservoir and Spadeadam ... a bit of a needle in a haystack with clues and luck! Unfortunately not ideal weather for anyone, windy, wet and from tomorrow onwards cold!
Cheers

Saw a single Apache heading north past Leeming Bar at 1113 yesterday (15/11) - having either just overflown or taken off. Any idea which one we saw?

Hi Chris, there is a track on Notam map showing a route over Derwent Water, and I was thinking it might be worth a go going there for a change of scenery. Not sure of the topography there with regard to getting above them.

Apache just seen heading North through Linconnshire very low down near the River Trent (43C260 - ZJ203?), most likely to be inbound Leeming.

There Was a Notam for Spade today that is/was possibly to make up for any weather delays to Apache training programme? If anyone is able to update if any movements at Leeming today (Sat) could they update here, as weather at Spade is pretty good! Cool but little wind, sunny gaps in mid level cloud base.
Cheers

Didn't see or hear any sign of the apaches on Saturday, I live next to the base although I wasn't around all day. I did see four return to leeming at dusk on Friday around 4.30pm though - - is there 5 in at leeming at present?

I believe there are 5 Apaches at Leeming;

ZJ178, ZJ184, ZJ203, ZJ211 + 1.

Now the +1 is a mystery, it has been mis-pinging as "43C000" however two Apaches ZJ185 + ZJ186 have randomly appeared on SBS in Stockton for a brief period, no sign of them departing Wattisham to arrive at Leeming, so I assume its this Apache that playing around with the mode-s.

Any ideas?

Ben

There was only one on base when we left about 15.40pm-it was being prepared though .I think the rest were playing up the ranges above Catterick where they were this morning.
