Quick stop 24/5/16

Had a quick venture to Leeming for a few hours to catch some Chinooks. This is what was noticed;

First Chinook started engines then shut down, crew moved to the second heli and had the same problem. Waited 20 minutes then went back to the first Chinook and it started fine. Soon departed directly over the viewing area. Merlin was also starting up and then shut down. Seems these three helis are not having the best morning, will keep the engineers busy!

Usual Grob and Hawk activity. Six Hawks departed whilst i was there.

An interesting one was the visiting Swedish Air Force Saab 340, which landed at 10:05am, then departed an hour or so later. Delivering personal.
I`m not a number cruncher but for those who are i noticed the tail code/ number was 008
