RAF Leeming 19/02/2018

Post by csnewton2701 » Fri Mar 23, 2018 10:47 pm

Took a trip to RAF Leeming to do a bit of spotting last month.

The weather was terrible with a light mist and low cloud covering the airfield with a regular spray of rain making taking pictures a nightmare as the runway is a decent distance. We took the spotting location of the viewing park and were the only ones who really stayed there, throughout the day the odd car came and went but no one really stayed.

We got there for 9am with nothing flying until 13:30, towards the end of the day there was a Tornado right on the far side seemingly doing engine tests. We stayed until 16:00 to drive back home.

All in all a good day despite the weather, will definitely go again.

Here's the best of what I took.
