Where has it been stated that the runways are going to be 'ripped up' and turned into housing?? Just because the Army have taken over, it doesn't mean they will rip up the runways!!

Are the Army fully established at Cottesmore/ Kendrew now? I see there is a NOTAM up for Live firing

Never saw any active RAF bods when I was up there as part of my redundancy course (few RAF service leavers like myself but that was it really) that was that was half way though last year

My documentation for my RAF Resettlement courses said RAF Cottesmore/Kendrew Barracks. The camp showed poor signs of rundown, but for a long time the red and white RAF Cottesmore sign stood proud on the A1.

At least one of the hangar doors still had the 1 sqn emblem on it when I was there
