Found this interesting aritical

http://www.vulcantothesky.org/news/151/ ... itain.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I think i would rather donate to keep the Harrier flying now than the Vulcan, just something differant and maybe alittle cheaper to run per year than the Vulcan?

Would cost to much with that outfit in charge,
would guess they are plenty of zero houred engines and plenty of spares, you would need to buy all of this and then a few airframes.

Could be a lot easier and cheaper to operate then the Vulcan.

Single engined complex jet, I can't see the CAA being too keen :(
For good or for ill, air mastery is today the supreme expression of military power and fleets and armies, however vital and important, must accept a subordinate rank.

Wow what can i say,apart from a very sad day indeed,but im glad i spent a very cold Night camping in that farmers feild in wait for the final day.it was well worth it, I Would just like to say a very Big Thankyou to All the pilots that Taxied by at 22 end and gave us a wave and a clap, its you guys that deserve the clap ,you are absolute Heros , I Would Also like to thank all the staff and those who got the great Aircraft Ready for the Day,its a Big Shame about not Being able to have seen the 16 ship formation ,but at the End of the Day i Appreciate it was all down to the Safety of all pilots , . shame about the weather too But great to see so many people down at 22 end showing their support for a Great Aircraft which to me was the Best Aircraft Ever Made.And it will Be so Sadly Missed.
