"Multi-engine" does not necessarily mean "props"...

You are not wrong.

I've read multiple things this morning and got my wires crossed. Another website had 'multiple vintage and current military aircraft listed'.

But you would expect the Lancaster to be in that group. And possibly the B-17, Blenheim etc...

99 and 101 also have bomber command links, plus 100th ARW.

EGXW info has kindly plotted the NOTAMs for tomorrow. Many thanks!!

The red area is centered on the IBCC.

The grey area 'could' be the form up/ holding area but not sure.

This would imply a west to east run in, i guess time will tell.

For what its worth, that is what happened several years ago for the turf cutting/stone laying ceremony. Essentially running NW to SE.

Some of the aircraft were quite high as they passed over Lincoln, i presume as a result of the transit across the city.

Flypast has been cancelled due to fog.
Possibly a 2nd chance this afternoon, but doesn't look promising.

Sadly the dreadful weather, cold and fog, had a severe effect on the opening. For many of the veterans it proved too much and with all the flypasts cancelled the proceedings were cut short. Such a shame when it is expected that this will be the last mass gathering of Bomber Command veterans.

Still a moving day out and a time to remember for me family lost serving in Bomber Command.
