Probably because we do not know for sure. Have heard various rumours of today, tomorrow or Saturday. One thing with all the equipment being delivered it's imminent.....

That could be interesting as the airfield is NOTAMED as closed tomorrow!

Interesting that they are still rumouring Tornado,s to arrive as well.
All the support flights so far have not come from Tornado bases, mostly Laage or Hohn.

But Hohn isn't very far from Schleswig - if TLG-51 is involved - and a track back on ADS-B could seem to come from either.

Tower is always manned for QRA ( I think? ), so presume they’re just on skeleton staff for the rough time they are due?

or the NOTAM is just badly written and missing a comment on scheduled movements only.

I guess nobody would like to hazard a morning or afternoon arrival guess of the visitors ?

not all the support has come by air. there has been an awful lot come in by road.

Just arrived at egxc. The runway lights are on and the caravan is at the 25 end at 07:35L (although atis is saying closed)

( I do hope it's not just for something going out to an airshow somewhere)
