Re: PDA Days
BBMF PDA day scheduled for the 19th has been cancelled today.
Only one serviceable aircraft at present (Hurricane PZ865). All others unserviceable for various reasons.

Re: PDA Days
BBMF PDA is the second week of May.
Re: PDA Days
I was wondering if anyone had any news on the current state of BBMF aircraft? I see TE311 and LF363 have been up this weekend, but I have seen nothing recently regarding the Lancaster and how things are going at Duxford.ConingsbyJack wrote:BBMF PDA day scheduled for the 19th has been cancelled today.

I assumed that with the Dakota having such a short season last year, it would be out and about early this year, getting some flying hours in for the bomber crews. I am obviously wrong, I have seen no mention of it at all.

Re: PDA Days
Heading up on Wednesday whether it's PDA week or not.According to the Notams, there are practice displays Mon to Thurs anyway.
Re: PDA Days
I have seen the dakota do plenty of engine runs this year but have not seen it fly so i guess they are still having a few issues with it.
Re: PDA Days
Dakota was due at Abingdon as a replacement for the Lancaster, pulled out yesterday.
Re: PDA Days
Likely PDA NOTAM, if there is anything serviceable to PDA

Re: PDA Days
Please just remember that the only place to watch PDA will be from the spotters car park.
All crash gates, Reedham Lane, Old Fen Lane and the Mound are closed today

Re: PDA Days
I wondered if anyone had any news on progress with the Dakota or any idea what the problems are?
I understand the Dakota needs to be operational for a few weeks to bring the crews back up to speed, then the Lancaster can be retrieved from Duxford and start its workup? Assuming of course that the Lancaster is ready?
