can anybody tell me please i heard off mate that there,s about 66 f-35 lighting II going to base on the new aircraft carries is this true and are they these being delivered now ty
Officially 36 is the capacity for each carrier, with numbers being able to be pushed to upper 50s in surge conditions.

Routinely, 12 RAF/FAA F-35Bs per carrier are intended to be carried, with an additional USMC contingent of another 12 equalling 24, as MRTT stated before.

Don't shoot the messenger but heard a rumour suggesting arrival may have slipped to Friday. Sorry don't have anymore details at the moment.
Could there be confusion in the rumour mill and it equates to

Do you "REALLY" think so ... they are in no position to know weather, aircraft servicability or be privy to the "on the day" planning from the AARC team :grr:

As with all these tasks ... they are subect to change and unless you're "part of it" you'll never fully know until it happens ...
Everything up to that point is totally conjecture.

I've moved the last few posts from the ASCOT tracking thread to here, as it's a more suitable location

Might indicate a slip to Friday. Or might not.

I'm going to move the last few posts to the general info area for the F-35s.

To answer the question as of 11.58, there are no Shanwick or Santa Maria ALTRV posted, so at the moment it's looking unlikely they will be here tomorrow

As I posted earlier in the week the current plan is supposed to be Friday. Also possibly 4 not 5 airframes. All info TBC.
