ZG750 ,Pinky
Re: ZG750 ,Pinky
Been reported elsewhere that she's heading for RTP in August, not sure whether that's correct or not?
Would hope it'd make RIAT but, can't be certain.

Re: ZG750 ,Pinky
So many conflicting rumours about, let's hope that a few more people get to see her. I'd like to get some low-fly shots, but that would require huge amounts of luck!

The Marham 100th seems to have not been seen for ages also.

Saw a post on Facebook a couple of months ago that showed the Marham 100 jet in scheduled maintenance. I imagine it will be out and about again soon.

Re: ZG750 ,Pinky
ZG750 will indeed go for RTP within the next few weeks. Along with it will go our 100 years of 31 Sqn aircraft ZA548. They are both trainers and sadly regardless of their artwork they are no longer needed by the Air Force.

Re: ZG750 ,Pinky
Thanks Integrale1, that confirms what you posted earlier and what I had heard recently. Now we have to hope they fly, before the one-way trip to Leeming!

Would be nice to see that pair at RIAT before they're disposed of unceremoniously.Integrale1 wrote:ZG750 will indeed go for RTP within the next few weeks. Re: ZG750 ,Pinky
Hi,
Just a quick question for Integrale1, I've yet to see Pinky and the 31 Squadron '100 years' anniversary' aircraft so is there any chance they will be at Fairford!!!

Re: ZG750 ,Pinky
The 31 squadron pilots at the May enthusiast shoot said the Granby jet would likely be at RIAT then sent to RTP. Let's hope it works out that way
Posh are going to Wembley (albeit for a tin cup)

Granby jet is up, first time in nearly a month

Re: ZG750 ,Pinky
They left her for 9 Sqn to fly, up today as Marham 09.

Shame more Museums and Collections don't go for Aircraft such as these Tornadoes which have special colour schemes.
Re: ZG750 ,Pinky
They aren't being offered to museums as far as I am aware, as the RAF has entrusted BAES to deal with spares recovery, hence the trip to Leeming and RTP they are seemingly crushed fairly quickly afterwards.
Admittedly Midland Air Museum managed it with the one they acquired, but I guess most of the Nationals already have GR.1s so they are less rushed for a GR.4 either.
I'm sure they will have some available after April 2019....

I have just heard in the last few minutes from a reliable source, that said aircraft is not now going for RTP until August so that will give you more time for those of you who want to get some shots off
good luck and hope you get plenty
