My first time spotting at RAF Mildenhall was last weekend, the weekend of POTUS Donald Trump's visit to the UK (Stansted then Prestwick)

After 8 hours on the road, we arrived at The Nook Campsite (aka John's Field) at 9pm on Friday 13th July 2018.

One of the 2 USAF C-5 Galaxies was still present, the other had departed to Stansted to pick up POTUS stuff. Great start to the weekend, getting that behemoth backtrack runway11 from the lofty height's of John's trailer! Got some superb closeup footage of the movement of those rear wheels as it turned around to depart 11.

Next morning we were treated to a Qatari C-17 landing 11 right after a KC-10 landed 29.

There was lots of C-17 comings and goings with POTUS stuff and even a KC-135 sneaked out to refuel the B-2 spirit that did the RIAT Flypast.

Sunday 15th had a USAF C-17 arrive, and a USAF C-17 and USAF KC-10 Extender depart and then we headed to nearby RAF Lakenheath to catch another USAF C-5 on the deck. After that it was off to Duxford to catch The Flying Legends!
