Am I right in thinking the Ospreys at Mildenhall seem to be more active in the mid afternoon onwards?
Is there any day where they are less likely to be active?
Did you know that registration to Fighter Control is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....

Re: Ospreys
Hi Chris
Always afternoon and evenings.
Evening they do a lot of hot seating with engines running. One crew off next one on.

Re: Ospreys
The Ospreys can fly any time of day, but are busy most evenings along with the MC130s.
Johns field is good for viewing hot gassing when they are doing it.(usually on Delta North) Normally have departed the pattern by 2000, to return probably well after midnight.
Monday to Thursday evenings mostly, (not guaranteed to fly every night, as sometimes they deploy out for the day) they don’t normally fly Friday evening.
Hope that helps
