Quick Log 1-2-18 at 16.00pm

Post by Tiger 1 » Thu Feb 01, 2018 4:08 pm

Just had a run round Mildenhall and noted the following...

KC10.... 40192 on main ramp

P8 432 parked mid field net to RC135

RC135 ???? parked mid field

KC135 80106 and 91486 parked near tower

C130 ???? parked ner tower behind the KC135s

6 x Ospreys out... 33...50...58

Any help with the serials for tge C130 and RC135 would be very much appreciated.

Your RC-135 is 24134 and the C-130 should be 90510 AC-130U.

At 15.00pm Osprey 65 was next to 58.
Also I logged KC-135s 00318 and 91513.

Hi guys

Also heard on scanner and seen from Lakenheath at approx 17.00pm was a TBM700 inbound on RWY29 and just before this an aircraft call sign sounded like PYE 18
was seen over shooting Mildenhall... it was quite large with 4 bright lights but not strobing?

Can anyone please offer serials and confirmation / Identification for these movements.

Many thanks in advance.

Thanks arch... much appreciated :thumb:

Just the mystery aircraft left to tie up... that over shot Mildenhall just before tge TBM landed.

Call sign was hard to catch but sound like PYE one eight or PYEO one eight.

Thanks again guys for your help.

I saw the aircraft you are on about, over RAF Honington, I thought it was the TBM700 but when i checked ADSb this was still over London.

Seen an image that appears to have been taken today (2/2/18) showing an E-3 on the AMC Ramp, spot 44-46. Any ideas what this is? Haven't seen a report of one going in anywhere

An 8 Sqn divert from last night. It couldn’t recover to Waddington due to the weather.

The aircraft before the TBM700 was about the size of a TBM700 or that style aircraft. Defiantley not an E3

Hi guys... the aircraft I saw over shooting Mildenhall with the call sign ending in One Eight was observed from Lakenheath and was quite large, the size of a KC135... had four lights showing, nothing strobing.

It came through before the TBM came in.

Can't find any movements anywhere for a call sign ending in 18 but that was definatley what it was calling.

What was the call sign of the diverted E3?

I think it was NATO 34 but not 100% sure
