Mildenhall 24/9 (MC-130)

Post by slogen51 » Sun Sep 24, 2017 7:21 am

Thanks to a post in the excellent Mildenhall and Lakenheath movements Google group I went down to Mildenhall this morning.

Two additional MC-130J have appeared in the herc line up

14-5793 and 09-5711

Don't know if they were previously based here but I needed them.

From the road I could read off
05714
45793*
25759
5711* off the nose
25760
15731

You were an early bird, Mike!!

Neither have been based here before and both are currently with 9SOS/27SOW at Cannon AFB, NM.
Cheers, Bob

There is no 13-5711 I'm afraid. Photos of this departing show the tail number reading 95711 (on the right hand side at least)

OK my mistake-I read off the left hand side and there may have been some interference on the paint job.No harm done.
