Re: A10's Due mildenhall July
Given the fact that only five have been reported arriving at Bangor late yesterday and there is no oceanic airspace reservation. Does it seem likely they will still manage to stage through Mildenhall according to the (welcome!!!) time frame posted above? Maybe they already have some weather or technical problems on the other side of the pond?
Asking because having to alter ferry and riat plans in case they come ...

Re: A10's Due mildenhall July
Sorry for confusion. There are all 12 right now reported. Still missing the airspace reservation though ...
Re: A10's Due mildenhall July

Pretty sure I've read somewhere that Shanwick GAT ALTRV's require 24hrs prior notice. This one was filed at 13:14Z today, and activates at 13:18Z tomorrow. Obviously other rules apply for delays and slippages to pre-filed plans, but if they want to follow the rules they've basically filed as late as they could. Of course, state operated aircraft don't have to follow the rules in international airspace.

Re: A10's Due mildenhall July
Looking at tomorrow's forecast, it looks like the wind will have shifted round to the SW by the time that they arrive. So, it will probably be Rwy29.
But the weather boys have been known to get it wrong.

Looking at the skyvector link, it shows the destination as Lakenheath. Not sure as to why, but I am sure someone can educate meMalcolm wrote:This has just gone up. Northern route

I think it is because destination selected was EGUL (by accident) to demonstrate the route : the URL ends in EGUL

Just looked at a metoffice site; wind change between 1800 and 1900L will be SW backing S though wind strength will be light.
