Re: "John's Field" Site Rules
OK - previous posts had suggested that there were - my mistake. Law still applies where crops are growing though.
Re: "John's Field" Site Rules
No Crops ! !.........Apart from the valuable hay being harvested recently and the new growth attempting to come through at the momenmoment.

Not sure what field you refer to. The field in question is pictured below (with the guy in blue in the middle looking at his pics).
That field is currently planted with ryegrass and John was furious about people and cars on it last Thursday.

Absolute to£$"%^&$sser, wonder if he is on FC? Its through richard heads like him where a valuable resource could be lost and I for one wouldnt blame John one bit.
What he does for the spotters is great and for some plomkers to wander all over is beyond belief. Mind you one would hope they are not among the regular crew.

Re: "John's Field" Site Rules
The reason I posted my message this morning was because of the sheer numbers who were abusing our precious facility. I did do my very best to have a polite conversation with some of these people gently reminding them of the damage they were doing. One idiot standing in the field even said to me " I know there are crops in this field" but carried on anyway. I felt there was nothing else I could do without there being a confrontation. Those of us who do respect the simple, basic and reasonable rules have to be prepared, in a proportionate, legal and disciplined way to be the guardians of John's property. I do not want to lose this wonderful facility and i'm not prepared to stand back and do nothing.
John, I know you shouldn't have to, but is there any way you could rope off the field in an effort to protect it from any further damage ?. I, and i'm sure may others would be prepared to make a contribution towards the cost. On behalf of the responsible "guests", and don't forget that's what we are, thank you so much for allowing us onto your property.

Re: "John's Field" Site Rules
I too was parked up today with my uncle and saw numerous people standing right in the middle of the field every time a plane was coming in. Then witnessed a car straight cross the field instead of going around like we did. It's not hard is it? Just respect what John gives us has he doesn't have too. At the end of the day what is £1 to anyone

Re: "John's Field" Site Rules
I find it very strange that John would give permission for people to trample on his crop and on that basis we should disregard the above comment until independently verified.

Re: "John's Field" Site Rules
Maybe re-post these images on FB sites might send the muppets a message?
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!
Re: "John's Field" Site Rules
NOW you all know why I had a rant, and was severely criticized for it, by a few a'holes about the way John's Field is still being abused, by part-time 'creatures'
Still had no reply from 'ChrisCwmbran' about that post
Like a lot of others, he apparently doesn't care
Well I, like a lot of peeps, DO
Come on, guys, name and shame, NOW
Thanks, John, and I am so sorry for the behaviour of these people

Re: "John's Field" Site Rules
And with John being at work at the time, I wonder how many of the hoards actually paid their £1.
I'm up here in my caravan at the moment and did have a quiet word with one or two who had "infringed" up the top end. They were actually apologetic and hadn't realised that it was other than ordinary grass. They said they would remember in future.
