'SJ' F-15Es

Post by simongrigor » Sat Sep 30, 2017 9:09 pm

Seen at 18:30 tonight on the way back home from Lowestoft vs Harrow footie, four parked up on the ramp nearest the main gate - visible from a good walk down the field opposite:
86-187, 89-488 (carries '366' special marks), 89-495, 89-501. All yellow fin-tips.

Firstly 89-0488 carries the special marks "336 FS" not 366. And yes there are still two Saudis present 12-1017 and 12-1030.

Ha ha. Lowestoft Town 1 Harrow Borough 1. Lowestoft, alas (for I am a Harrow follower), equalised in the 95th minute.
Thank you, plmc135, for correcting my special marks error.

This deployment could well be written up as a casebook study of "If it can go wrong it will go wrong" or "How not to do it". So, about 10 days after the first ones left SJ to position for the Atlantic crossing there are still 5 on the ground at BGR (Tabor 41 flight minus the one that made it this weekend) and 1 here at LN...

Forgot about the five Tabor 4x at Bangor

Be nice if they came over to Lakenheath to make up a flight of six or were they Rumoured to Moron ?

5 at Bangor still. Should have been two depart Saturday (tabor41-42) with the four from Barnes. But tabor41 went tech. So that (tabor41) and tabor43-46 still there.
