Lakenheath closed from 21.00 hrs on the 24th to.the 29th May Also notamed The 21st to 16.00 hrs on the 24th increased amount of flying.

Any idea if mildenhall will be open over the bank Holiday weekend, was told it was to closing for the weekend

the notam lasts until 05:00 on the 29th May, so looks like it will be open as normal on Tuesday. (hope so because i was going to the loop)

according to notams Mildenhall only OPEN as follows ( all times BST)except for high priority missions


Saturday 10:00-11:30

Sunday 06:20 -17:00

Monday 09:00- 16:30



Lakenheath is closed all weekend

So does that mean the AC-130J is trapped at Lakenheath until Tuesday or can he still get out if he wants too

Thanks paul i know it was a funny way of putting it , but there has been no mention of the AC-130 since its arrival on Thursday and i am hoping to do a hit on run on Sunday morning.

Ya can not get to it as the the track leading up to where he is parked as been blocked off .

It is viewable from the forest entrance off the A1065, but a bit distant, and not possible to photograph from there.

The track is not blocked off,but very overgrown.Walked it this morning in shorts and got stung to hell.
