Apart from the regular Flintlock exercises, Ohio A-7's deployed to Sculthorpe in June 1986 and May 1989 and England A-10's in August 1990. Those were the days.Nighthawke wrote:F-4Es & F-4Gs were at Sculthorpe back in 1984. I used to live 2 miles under the 06 approach - great days! Yes yes I remember those. But people would still grumble that all we got in this country were 'sluffs'.

It was 1978 (Coronet Oriole) and they were all "SH". No T-Stick IIs unfortunately (all with "TH" I believe).
And I was there watching them arrive in the evening of 10 June 1978 - 3 waves of six aircraft, 30min apart.

I have heard "in July sometime" but, admittedly, that was about 2 weeks ago. Things may have changed since then.

Back to the title. I've been told that this Wednesday might be a good day to attend as that is the arrival day. Don't shoot the messenger.

I'd also welcome any info to help me plan my work schedule for the next few days and try to sneak in a visit, if any kind soul could oblige.

Are the F-16's arriving tmrw, it is a 180 mile round trip for me , would like to pop down but not if they are not flying in.
Have heard they are just on a delivery flight and crew flying back from Mildenhall.

Are there any updates on F-16 arrivals, or as someone said just rumours of them moving to the UK whilst runway work is done.

Re: Possible SP F16's to Lakenheath
SP F-16s have been fairly busy over there usual play areas over Sw Germany this morning ,
But interestingly they have all now disappeared and there is no tanker in the area this morning as usual .
read off it what you will .
11.40 Edit just as I posted, Utah02 91-0416 has just popped up
